Hi everyone! I hope this week has treated you well and if like most, you're stressing over deadlines or work, I just wanna say: you've got this!

Today on LVwears I thought I'd do a little 'new arrivals' post as I haven't done one in a while, and I have some fabulous pieces in my wardrobe that must be shown to you lovely lot!  I would like to say, that I'm using the word 'new' very loosely here, as these items were in fact purchased about a month or two ago, but hey, I'm a student, what you gonna do?  Anyway, without further ado, let's get chatting about what have probably become my wardrobe favourites at the moment.

Undoubtedly the star of this look is the shirt - a leather corset peplum with humungous sleeves, what more could you want?  It was a gift from my sister at Christmas and oh how it has been loved by then, I just cannot get enough of the whole design and let's not forget the most flattering silhouette I have ever seen!  I mean not much really needs to be said as to why it has become a favourite, just look at it!

Next up are the jeans.  You may be wondering what is so fabulous about such a standard pair of dark wash denim jeans.  Well, ladies, they were £8 for a start from Zara, absolute bargain I know, and they just hug me in all the right places!  This is the first pair of jeans that I have owned from Zara as I've usually found that they just don't create a nice shape on my legs.  However, it appears I may be converted as I am absolutely loving these.

Finally on the new arrivals list are these worker boots from Dune London.  Worker boots were everywhere during the winter period and they are here to stay as a great transitional boot to take you into spring/summer.  Stay tuned for next weeks blog, where they will feature once more in a post all about how to master that transitional look, in what can only be described as a period of limbo between seasons.  What I love in particular about them is that they don't appear overly bulky and in this particular look, they add a bit of grunginess to a rather somewhat elegant and feminine outfit.

All in all, is this outfit not killer or what?  I mean talk about women's empowerment and all, just by putting this outfit on in the morning I felt like I had in fact 'got this' and could take on the world.  I am honestly not joking here, there is a reason why fashion has been at the forefront of political and social issues, take Chanel's SS15 feminist protest march or even the current 'TimesUp' movement where celebrities dressed in all black.  Fashion impresses and creates a feeling, and this outfit did just that.  It made me feel like a bloody strong woman, despite the fact deep down my stress levels were reaching a whole new high.

Lyd xx
